Amberola 30 Serial Number

I was just curious if there was a resource out there for dating Edison cylinder machines. I have an Amberola 30 which carries the serial number of 183699. It appears to have the later style governor arrangement, without that big speed control knob that goes through the cast iron cover plate. Any ideas on when this might have been manufactured? Thanks!
