I have been discussing the edison reproducers with a fellow member and something came up that probably has been addressed here before but I don't recall seeing it. Unless I am wrong the earlier versions didn't have the tiny pin that extends from the body of the reproducer toward the limit loop. It hits the top of the weight and evidently was to keep it from raising higher but it also causes the weight to become unable to navigate some warped records as long as one that didn't have the pin.. Is there information on the reason behind that pin?
