This is the earliest Desk Regent, circa 1909-10. These have the lid and not the drawer. I believe the ones with the drawer came out about 1911. The louvered versions came out in 1912. These early Desk Regents are pretty scarce. If someone has the space, it will be well worth it.

Just out of curiosity, are these Desk Regents large enough to actually use as desks?

I'm open to correction, but in sales literature of the time, I think Columbia always referred to the Regent's styling as resembling a "library table."

What about the later ones?
They were all the same size. BTW, this one looks like Circassian Walnut to me. Not very highly figured, but still CW. To the best of my knowledge, they were not offered in "regular" walnut.
