So instead of cannibalising genuine portables to make open horn crapophones, they now appear to be cannibalising portables to make craportables and craptransportables!

The examples pictured are probably some back street operator's take on genuine tropical teak machines, but although I cannot imagine many people being fooled by them we must remember that there is one born every minute.

The Edison decal is a nice authentic touch!

Sadly so.

Having lived and worked in Calcutta, India for several years (65/67) these folks can whip up a crapophone before your very own eyes in a matter minutes, believe me, in the local bazzars I've seen rooms and rooms full of machines, horns, you name it.
