If you have never seen one of those in person, they are huge, over 5' tall.The Chinese one is just as big, if not larger. There is a person in Dallas that has one of each complete with radio and electrola inside.

Hah, that one on the NY Craigslist has been listed forever, and it probably will be at that price. I'd guess the sixty-buck one will be sold fairly quickly, and probably end up as a bar, or a doghouse or something.
It always cracks me up when would-be sellers ask as much or more for empty cabinets than a complete machine might command -- as if the absence of, y'know, the actual mechanism doesn't bring down the value a little. Seems that optimi$m sometimes trumps common sense. Wait, did I say sometimes? I meant often.
What really surprises me though is how frequently someone will put something like a VV-XI on CL at $1200 or so. You'd think maybe they'd take the step of looking at what others are asking for Victrolas on CL first, to get an idea of a price range, but nooooo...
