Apparently it comes with a museum of sorts in the basement... perhaps we could pool our money.

The house itself would seem to have but slight connection to the history of the phonograph, save for its builder being T.A.'s son. The artifacts should be evaluated by knowledgeable experts, with a view toward acquiring such as would seem deserving of preservation in museum status under auspices of the Edison National Historic Site. FWIW....

They should ALL go to the Edison National Historical Site - (what's left) How much of the basement museum may have been sold or given away by previous owners after Charles passed away? Any of the past owners since Charles death could have sold items or taken them to his next residence since they came with the house legally. Sold with the contents and the artifacts. I'm very surprised the Edison National Historical Site did not get involved years ago with this collection belonging to Charles Edison.

I think that they should let Charlie Hummel run loose in that basement for a couple weekends before that house is sold so that he may be able to go through some of the paperwork and books there.. That would be my suggestion. Who knows how many secrets and Edison paperwork that Charles Edison took home with him. There might be some great Edison Lost Production info in there!...or Invention info in there as well...
That's my 2 cents..
