An odd version of the Exhibition reproducer ?????

Greetings ! I'm new to the forum !
On my ca. 1915 VV-IV, there is a Exhibition "A" reproducer. Not the typical Exhibition that I see everywhere, but an Exhibition "A" ! That wording is cast into the back of the reproducer, along with a few patent dates (1921 is the last one, I believe). No wording can be seen from the front of the reproducer. It also has a back flange that looks like the No. 2 reproducer, not the huge rubber flange affixed with two screws, as on the typical Exhibition...
What the heck is this thing ? I have been unable to find out any info about it.
Please let me know...
Thanks !

Is that made out of pot metal? Could be similar to the Victrola 4(brass) and Victrola 4 "A" (pot metal) reproducer situation.

This type of Exhibition was discussed here before. A quick search did not find it so a more in depth search would be needed.
For some reason late Canadian or foreign Exhibition comes to mind. But I could be way off base.

It is the Exhibition A, and is pot metal. My understanding is that it primarily was found on the VV 1-1 "Victrolita" appearing in the mid 1920s. Not particularly common, as they were only on really cheap machines long after the Exhibition was obsolete, many times over (surpassed by the No. 2, No. 4, and Orthophonic reproducers), and seemed to be made with pretty bad pot metal, as everyone I have seen has been in pretty rough shape.

This was the last of the Exhibition reproducers made from about 1925-29. These were used on the Victrolita 1-1 and the possibly the 1-2, children's Victrola. I have a very late Victrolita 1-1 and this reproducer came on my machine. Yes, these were made of pot metal. The diameter is slightly larger and has a rubber insert instead of the usual flange. These reproducers are pretty scarce.

Thanks guys - I appreciate the responses.
I have recently purchased a rebuilt Exhibition to replace this Exhibition "A". It does sound better, but that old one, surprisingly, didn't sound that much worse !
