Home made?

A while ago I thought I had expertise in phonographs and gramophones and, more and more, I realized that it's just like an iceberg with the largest part always under the water....
So, I bought this horn and reproducer (thirty years ago, from a french collector with a lot of cylinders phonographs) and they are still sitting on a shelf, unidentified !
I don't know if they were home made(very good job!!) or coming from a small manufacturer and I have no clue on the machine they were intended for...
Total height is around 11,81 in (30cm) , horn diameter 7,08 in (18cm), reproducer 2,65 in (6,7cm).
As spring is coming, could someone speed up the iceberg melt down ?
Thanks,
Jeff
