Folks,
I forgot to mention I've also started
a record-related glossary in
the Label Guide. I wrote the definitions myself so please be kind in your corrections!

Please feel free to submit corrections and additions.
Thank you.
Regards,
John

Thank you John, Great! This is a real improvement. I've been collecting for a long time but more on the machine side, and the meaning of many of these terms are not so clear to me!

Valecnik,
Thanks-we've got a long way to go and I still need to double check a few of those. I'm sure we'll be adding many more entries as we go.
Regards,
John

John,
I have a couple labels that aren't represented here, can I just email a scan or pic to you? Also (and this may be a stupid question), why isn't the biggest of them all, Victor, represented in your guide?
Thanks,
Gary

I took a look at your glossary, and can only offer one suggestion. In my years of looking, I've not found a Columbia 78 rpm record made after about 1908 that WASN'T laminated. The materials changed over the years, but all the way into the 1950s, they continued to laminate their records.
