Picked this Edison dictation cylinder up on EBay - it is much nicer than the usual plain looking grey box dictation cylinders that are commonly found. Does anyone know the aprox. year / years this style carton was used ?? Looks early to me but not sure.

Must be made after 1911 as Thomas A. Edison, Inc. on 28 February 1911. I would say this box dates between 1911-1920, but no later, by the mid 1920's a bluish color with yellow writing that says Ediphone on a slant. By the 1930's the grey box with reddish brown writing was used some have the Pro-Technic Ediphone pictured on them. Ediphone cylinders with a grey box were made until 1960.

Does anyone have a chronology of what the earliest Edison business blanks look like? I wonder if they look anything like the ones I make from time to time Below is a new business machine blank, I make.
