I know that the first electric DD in the popular series is 52089 and in the semi-classical 80885. But what is it in the classical series, or 82,000 series? It's funny that this information is not available on the Internet and it is not mentioned in the Wile discography.

It is in "Collector's Guide to Edison Records" by Copeland & Sherman. 82351-82360.

It is noted on page 341 of the Wile discography.

If you are referring to The Edison Discography (1926-1929) by Raymond R. Wile pub. by The Mainspring Press c. 2008, no such information exists on that page.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the book "Edison Disc Recordings" compiled by Wile and published in 1978 by the Eastern National Park and Monument Association under the guidance of Leah S. Burt, agent of the Edison National Historic Site.

Copies appear on Ebay from time to time. It was a hand typed, spiral bound booklet.

Does anyone know if Leah S. Burt is still alive? Was she related to Fred C Burt, Edison engineer. I ask this, because she put my care package together, when I was curious youngster who sent a letter to Thomas A Edison (made it to Edison National Historic Site) seeking the formula for cylinder records, and I received a copy of Jonas Aylsworth's 1904 "Formula for Hard, Moulded Records" also contained the procedure for molding them as well, it was both type written and hand written. I sent Paul Israel a copy of what I have, because they have yet to find the original mine was from, unfortunately having this paper since I was 7 a few pages are missing.
