I already own the Mainspring Press book The Edison Discography (1926-29). I'm looking for the older Raymond Wile book that covers all of the DD's made by the Edison Co. Thanks, Marc.

I think the book you want is called "Edison Disc Recordings", published in 1978. I have seen reference to a 2 volume edition, but my copy is one volume. There are currently 3 copies available on Amazon starting at $85.

Although the book is handy, 90%+ of this information is available in the Excel file that can be downloaded from truesoundtransfers.de in their discography section.

There definitely exists a 2-volume version of Raymond Wile's Edison Disc Recordings; I have it right here. I believe this is the original edition from 1978. There is no illustration on the cover of either volume 1 or volume 2, but the title and Mr. Wile's name does appear on the cover. Both volumes use comb binding.

At one time, Tim Gracyk offered for sale a single-volume Edison Disc discography (also with comb binding, but with an illustrated cover). This was also credited to Raymond Wile, but you had to look on the inside front cover (or perhaps the back of the title page; I cannot recall) to find that out. I have this too, but not handy, and I have been been meaning to compare them to see how they differ from each other. I defer to Kevin that the True Sound Excel file contains most of this same information. Nevertheless, I would like to compare the Excel file to these volumes, just to clear it up in my own mind.
