Up for sale is a really cool and rare (because it was made in the UK and brought here) HMV Model XI, otherwise known as the Library Bijou Grand phonograph gramophone. It's from 1911. Check out the inlaid wood and the original wood finish. It runs and plays great, with a Victor II Exhibition reproducer. It's narrower than most Victrola's, as it was made for use in the library, which were typically smaller rooms than the family room. Located to Denver. Possibly brought out to Union.

$600 (about GBP£420) seems a bargain price for this elegant and sought after machine. It would make more than this in it's native UK where it originally sold for £20, almost double the cost of a Senior Monarch at £11.

This is a beautiful and wonderful machine. I wish I had the money and space for this.

If anyone is interested there was a Mahogany one at Precious Times Antiques & Gardens 1740 W Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373 Phone:(909) 792-7768
I think it was around $600 or less. I was last there in October.

SOLD!!! The Bijou Grand is getting closer to it's relocation to Washington... My daughter picked it up last week from the seller and I'll be headed towards Denver in late June to get it... Can't wait! I'm also hoping to meet up with the seller to shake his hand and check out his collection...
