Our neighbors have been blasting their "music" for several hours, so my wife & I set up our Victor Type M to entertain them. Pointing out our storm door, they got a good blast of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band. ("Sensation" to be exact.) Calmed them down. Victor.... the original boom box :D

It's what Auxetophones were made for. Works like a charm.

BTW, Tiger Rag is an especially loud record.

Since the Victrolas I play most often are in the dining room which are right next to windows, I often wonder if my neighbors can hear the records I play. Several times I have seen people walking down the street stop and look around while I was playing recordings, as if they heard it. Goodness, I hope I'm not a noisy neighbor.

Ah, but do your Fox Trots & Waltzes rattle your neighbor's windows from across the street? I think you are safely not a "noisy neighbor" :)

A few weeks ago during the weekend, I was playing one of my Victor 10-50's out in the garage. One of my neighbors came over and ask me to turn down the stereo. I replied, "there is no volume control."
