I agree with Brian, if you had any interest in the machine for yourself, you just upped the anti. Not saying that another member wouldn't run across it in their searching, but now that its posted the possibilities of you landing it narrowed slightly.

I don't intend to bid on it. Too rich for my wallet. I just thought it might be of interest to forum members. Next time I will keep interesting discovery's like this to myself.

You did nothing wrong by posting this public information.

James.

Nobody's done anything wrong, I agree. He's already made it clear that he doesn't plan to bid, but I think that if he had planned to bid on this machine, putting it out for others to see might not be the thing to do. If its something close by and I had any interest, I would hope it would make it undetected. Sometimes we get lucky. Just sayin'.

Agreed.

He seems to feel funny about posting it at all now and he should not feel as if he made an error. He did not.

Please do not keep them to yourself. I made a purchase today that I have wanted for a couple of years now, but did not think I could find. That purchase came from just such a post as yours. Frankly, I think they are helpful most of the time. Maybe not always, but I'd rather have these types of posts than not. I get to see interesting machines that I might not otherwise see, and MIGHT see one I am interested in buying-but usually not. Still a win-win for guys like me.
Thanks for posting!
Matt

Honestly, is that really Circassian walnut or just burled walnut? I think Circassian would have a more highly figured grain with more color variation.

With walnut Victor products your possibilities are American or Circassian walnut. I'd say the machine is Circassian. Jerry Blais
