I had a antique dealer ask me if I had any console model phonographs for sale---I said a small Sonora. When I sold it to her---she said a person was interested in it to make a bathroom sink/vanity from it. I left, with the phonograph guts from it.

Here is similar conversion, but at least they kept it a functional phonograph.
