I bought this recently for a Type C,the overall length and shape seem right but I can't say I've seen a Zonophone arm with a support like this, the pin is also slightly too big for the hole in the front bracket.Your thoughts please?

I would also be very grateful if anyone knows of a suitable horn for a Type C

In my opinion, your arm support has been partially replaced. Maybe the original had broken off ?. The first pic I show is an early Zonophone tone arm from a early (first design) Type C. This arm is bi-metal made of cast brass and rolled steel (nickel plated). The support is cast brass and very strudy .
Your Tone arm support is made of stamped steel (like your tone arm). So, could have been snapped off.

Thanks for your reply...I guess you're right but the rivetted pin looks untouched and why make such an odd looking thing that doesn't actually fit the front bracket?
I can modify it to make it look more like the support on a stamped steel arm but didn't want to destroy anything that may just be original to some obscure model

I would suggest posting bigger and clearer pics in order for someone to make a good assessment. Then, we can see if there are any join lines or signs of replacement/repair.
The pin you show, appears original in design to the pic I posted of a stamped arm. Could this be a European arm perhaps..??.
Detailed pics may shed light on this mystery.
