Hi,

I purchase an Edison Eclipse and it is complete EXCEPT for the coin box door located in the
lower cabinet. The hinge is not damaged, but I need the door. I know an original would be
hared to find, so all I am looking for is someone who can reproduce or has reproduced a coin
box door

Thank you for any information or leads. Unfortunately I am not versed in having it done locally.
Any information on anyone who can do this task would be greatly appreciated.

I have provided a picture of the coin op machine and the inside of case where the coin box is
located for information.

I would look up Don Teach on the Mechanical Music Digest and ask him. That coin mechanism was probably used in other things like the Encore Banjo or the coin operated crank film things. He would probably be able to help you. I would be more interested in getting a box to catch the money in! The coin piano I used to have that the door right with the coin box and the padlock held it all in place. Looks like it should be fairly simple to make. You could make something out of wood and send it to Tomahawk Foundry in Wisconsin to get cast. A casting that size wouldn't be over $40 or so. Nice looking machine you have there. I saw a stripped out cabinet like that a few years ago at an antique show up in Rochester, MN. They thought it was for a sewing machine and still had $1000 on it. They thought it would be a good place to put your television.

Steve Farmer in Southern Oregon is an expert in restoring these machines and may also be a good lead. He can also build you a near perfect sign board for your machine.

Could you please add a photo of the ID plate? I am looking for examples that list "Edison Eclipse" instead of the more common "Edison Triumph".
