Several records were issued to commemorate the coronation of King George V in 1911, but this is the first I have seen for his predecessor, and it even retains it's original case:

Similar "commemorative plates" as they were called were issued to mark the deaths of Queen Victoria in 1901 and Pope Leo XIII in 1903.

How exactly does one play one of those, as there is no hole for the spindle?

The hole would be on the reverse side, not going entirely though the disc.

You will see from the listing that the seller has played the record without removing it from it's wooden tray. There is a circular slot in the underside of the tray to accommodate the spindle of the machine, but records which have lost their trays have been seen with holes drilled through the centre.

The historians among you may also have noticed that the Coronation date of 26th June 1902 is incorrect. At the last moment the King went down with appendicitis and the event was postponed to 9th August 1902, but of course all the souvenirs had already been produced.
