Tragic Amputation

So, who's the first person to figure out what makes this amputation more tragic than others?

I'd get the machine, but I don't think I'm up for constructing new legs....anyone know a good furniture maker?

That is indeed sad! Maybe the machine got diabetes and its owner played too much sweet music on it.

I bid on the Edison Chopindale at a auction a few years ago and dropped out at $40. It went for just over a hundred bucks! (there were no works)

$100 for just the chopped-off cabinet? Ouch. Did that at least include the horn?

Nope, just the cabinet hardware.

If that chopped Edison cabinet turned up around here cheap I'd buy it, if the record storage was good. Full cabinet machines are easy to find, but record storage cabinets aren't.
