Trying to identify and appraise this phonograph

I have acquired this Murdoch "Angelica" phonograph. All the information I found says it is English. The mechanism may be German made. It is in excel ant condition and works very well. Can anybody help me?

Definitely English - Murdoch's was a chain of gramophone and record shops. Angelica being one of their trademarks. Your machine is from the middle 1920;s and is a typical console form middle price range cabinet gramophone of the era.

it depends on where you are from
the ad in australia would be about right for such a machine over there (there are simply not many phono's about although this one is damaged and would go at atleast half of the price asked)
in the usa there´s more an incline to collect the big names like edison, victor and columbia other brands are known as off brands and generally at a lower in price than the big makes
in europe these big gramophones are pretty unpopular and very common and most go unsold i have seen these go for 100,- euro's or less
