I see that first selection was awarded the Order of the Red Star: well done, comrades!

I have uploaded another song to YouTube tonight - "Plantation Pastimes" by Hager's Orchestra on an early 9" Zon-O-Phone.

Nice!
What source do you cite for the 1900 recording date? The
Compendium lists the introduction of the 9 inch discs as May 1901 (I have #713).

That date came from the seller that I purchased the record from. See:

I don't know what his source was. I tried searching the Internet, but conflicting information thwarted any definite conclusion, so you may be right. What is the Compendium that you spoke of?

Thanks! This tune is still quite popular with folk dancers

Full details here. It is the first book listed.

Best wishes, Mark (who at first thought there might be a Compendium of Zon-o-phone Records, beyond the 2discographies by Michael Kinnear and William Bryant, respectively.)

Ah, THAT Compendium. I have a stack of George's books, but I'll have to review which ones to see if I have it. I likewise thought perhaps there might be a Compendium of Zon-o-phone Records. I have one Zon-O-Phone machine and a small variety of records, but I'm nowhere near as knowledgeable about Zon-O-Phone as some of the other brands.
