FOUND: Victor Petal Horn

Post by gramophone-georg »

Just picked up a cool little HMV #32 project with an incorrect horn. Looking for a Victor petal horn as used with Vic 3, 4, and 5. Condition of paint and decal unimportant as I'll refinish it anyways. Repro is fine. Will consider a nice repro brass petal horn too.

PM me with what you have and price or feel free to email direct at [email protected].

Thanks!

There is an inexpensive Victor Flower horn on Portland (Oregon) craigslist. I have one concern. The horn in your photo has a slightly different arrangement for attaching the elbow to the horn when compared to earlier Victor horns. Is that a problem? Jerry Blais

The elbow with the machine is the Victor style with the slot to take a rivet. Ironically enough, the brass horn I got with the machine has a screw where the rivet should be.

If it's the repainted one with the elbow and "no, the dog isn't for sale!" I sent the guy an email but never got any response which seems to happen a lot on CL ads with no other way to contact.
