I have a mint condition extremely late Edison Blue Amberol cylinder record, catalog number 5661, "Is There Anything Wrong With That?" by Ermine Calloway, backed by the Seven Blue Babies (a California Ramblers derivative).
It has its original matching labeled box lid, also in extremely nice condition. Zero rim splits and zero plaster loss, and it plays clearly and with very little surface noise. Rim lettering is clean and clear, and there are no surface markings or imperfections. It is essentially as-new.
The rim markings indicate that this pressing is of the fifth take, and from the third mold.
The selection is an extremely cute late 20s flapper era girl singer, doing the boop-boop-be-doop style schtick and backed by a very hot jazz band. It's dubbed from an electrically recorded diamond disc master (released on disc 52519) that was recorded in January 1929, right at the end of the Edison recording era.
This is an extremely rare cylinder, especially in such perfect condition and complete with original box and matching labeled lid, and as such it is quite valuable. Please look at the photos and get in touch with me if you're interested.
