Hi All,
I did not know there were record brushes for the Edison Standard phonograph until the recent comment on the forum. Are new or old brushes for the Standard currently available or must one make their own? I suppose one could be fashioned from a solder brush.
Best to All and thanks for your input,
Allen

Allen, for what it's worth as a newer collector....the best thing you can do is invest in some or all of the Paul/Fabrizio books ( in this case regarding the "Place" record brush in the Antique Phonograph Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gimmicks volume by them).

The wealth of information is well worth it.... ;).

Edited for accuracy....

Thanks for the nice book plugs, fellows! :)

For the sake of accuracy, the book title is Antique Phonograph Gadgets, Gizmos, and Gimmicks. All our books are described in detail here:

If you watch eBay, originals seem to show up regularly. Their not that much or that hard to find. Most are used but sometimes NOS ones will show up.
If you run a want ad in the Yankee trader I'm sure some will surface for sale.

I thank you all for your input. I did buy four of G. Paul's books some months ago but not the one suggested. I shall look and advertise for the brush and the book as suggested.
Thanks again,
Allen

I'm not aware of any Standard Record Brushes made today... You'll just have to wait for one to come up on ebay.. They come up quite often and usually sell from anywhere from $20-$40 depending on condition.. They made one for the Home model as well. I think the Home Model one was made a bit bigger..
