I see the purple Blue Amberols asking about $60-70 on the bay.
But in reality, what would you pay for a "G"-"VG" (dirty but playable) #29040 "O Holy Night-Christmas Song"?
(I saw one on GoodWill.com last night but passed on it. (Did someone here get it? If so, I'd be interested to hear of it's actual condition!))

The only thing I've found is this. (~1919? so the purple BA would be a 'dub' of this?)
And for the record (pun intended?): What's the difference in sound between the above and this?

The cylinder (released December 1919) was certainly dubbed from the disc.
As for a difference in sound quality between the two disc pressings: it depends on the condition of the disc itself.
The etched label is postwar, so it's past the worst period of DD pressings, and might not be too bad. (mind you, I have at least one paper label repressing, in good condition, of an older disc, that still sounds pretty awful)...
