I want to restore this phonograph. It looks pretty bad and do not know what model is. It would help some information about him. Eventually if you have photos with full one. Sound box I do not think it is the original.
Thank you!

A 1920's portable made with Swiss parts- there were many, MANY makers- stores could order these and have their name put on them.

You will get a lot of experience trying to restore this, but please do not put very much money into this, as you could very easily and quickly spend more than it is worth. In my opinion the case is ruined beyond repair.

In my opinion, it's just too far gone to even try and restore. In perfect condition you would be very lucky to get $75 for it. So, as Estott said.... "you could very easily and quickly spend more than it is worth".

Hi,

I also agree that is not worth spending money to restore it BUT its is priceless to learn how to restore a gramophone without fearing destroying something irreplaceable.

My first restoration was a gramophone very similar to yours and I learnt how to refurbish a reproducer, hoy to dismantle the motor and replace the spring, how to lubricate it, how to put bushings on the worn out axles, etc... I still have it 25 years later and it bring me good memories of the times where you have to source the spare parts without internet.

Best regards,

Pedro

Im sorry but I do not know the maker .I don't have the machine now . It was something I bought on eBay but sent back due to having a row with the seller over the fact the motor didn't run!
There were some initials on the record storage flap .But not a make I recognised .
The motor was swiss
