Here's Ambrose & his Orchestra playing "You oughta be in pictures". Released in the UK on the Bruswick Label sometime between 1933 and summer 1934. This was the only priod that Ambrose appeared on this label.

Richard,
A beautiful tune from the great Ambrose unit!
Thanks for posting it
Slightly OT: The title reminds me of an episode of "The Jack Benny Program" where Jack tells how he discovered his friend in the program and wife in real life, Mary Livingstone selling stockings at the May Co. After asking what's her name is and receiving the reply "Mary". He asks what's your full name and she replies "Look mister, my name is Mary Livingstone, I was born in Plainfield, New Jersey. I KNOW I SHOULD BE IN PICTURES, BUT I'M VERY HAPPY HERE AT THE MAY COMPANY!
Paal.

Great song. I didn't know the title of it, but I recognised it as the music that plays during the menus of the Looney Tunes Golden Collection dvd`s.

A great one indeed! I have it with Noble / Bowlly on HMV and the Boswell Sisters on Brunswick. I'll keep my eyes peeled for this one!
