I am in the process of restoring an Amberola V. I only intend to keep one Amberola and therefore will be selling my Amberola VI type C. This is the last model VI produced. The Model A was plagued by gear noise problems and replaced by the model B. It utilizes a Fireside belt driven motor with Fireside top works and bed. The space in front of the bed was filled with a stamped iron grill similar to that used on the model 30. The bed was painted black, similar to a Fireside. In the model C, the Fireside works were still used but the cast iron bed was redesigned to fill the entire space in the cabinet. It was painted a chocolate brown. With the Fireside works, all the gear noise problems were eliminated. The model C is considered the rarest of the model VI's.
