Cleaning with GoJo - Is this Normal??

This Pathé is almost black. Last night I tried GoJo (non-pumice) on an area on the back. Results are in the pic. Does this look normal? This was probably after 6 or 7 coats and the rags were still pulling off dirt. I eventually called it a night and wiped the area down with a clean, damp rag.
The pic was taken this morning, after it had a chance to dry.
Thank you.

Hi:

This happened on my Edison B-19 Chalet that I worked on a month or so ago. It just keeps pulling off dirt.
I continued to repeat the process until nice and clean. I then took Restore-A-Finish and rubbed it into the cabinet and wiped down, and applied more Restore-A-Finish, this helps to see where your at with the finish. If necessary go back to the Go-Jo and use it. It takes time and patience. I would also mention that you may have to let your machine sit for a day or week here and there and go back to it. These finishes seem to need "cure" time.

You may be starting to ruin the finish beneath the built up wax and dirt/dust (which is usually what's removed during cleaning with something like gojo). Are you using your hands, rags, steel wool? If the last, be sure that it's the finest grade, the 0000. And be sure no matter what you're using that you don't rush things and apply too much pressure and rub too hard.
