Thanks. This one goes on my ever growing winter project list. It and my Edison Schubert are at the top of the list. Now for the 13 hour round trip!

It's back home in Peoria, IL and better looking than expected. Needs scratches cleaned up, motor needs lube really bad and the reproducer needs gaskets, but is a nice, solid phono. Will have pics sometime next week.

I'm looking forward to your photos. I've always wondered what the original buyers felt when their Victrola was obsolete before their first needle tin was empty. Victor must have had the Orthophonic line well into introduction when the VV-370 was nearly new. Jerry

The VV-370 has cleaned up nicely. Touched up the scratches and gave it a coat of wax. The finish has light crazing, which I am going to leave. I prefer machines to show their history rather than look bright, shiny & new. It plays well too, after oiling the motor and re-gasketing the reproducer. My next challenge is someone taped the tonearm down and left residue on the tone arm and ID plate. Anyone know what will remove the tape without harming the finish?

There are two products called Goo Gone and Goof Off that are cleaners/solvents most commonly used to remove things like sticker residue. Either should work just fine for you, but as always, test in an inconspicuous spot first.
