Yes, they did... but for $125, it looks like all the parts are there to put it back together.

Is this a crapo? ...or maybe a franken? I don't think it's a Victor. Has anyone made of the swiss made "Salon" reproducer?

Actually, that looks like one of the HMV models; The Hornless Model #1a, I believe.

According to HMV Gramophones, 1921-1936, by 1921, the #1 was equipped with a floating horn, and the hardware on the cabinet looks about the same as the one for sale on Craigslsit. Here's another photo, from Howard Hope's site:

It looks like the only replacement part is the sound box. This should have an Exhibition sound box. I'm not sure about the double-spring motor, though, since the book indicates that this should have a single spring motor. Our UK-based experts would probably know more about these.

That's quite a machine- Silvertones can be excellent- but the price is insane.
