Here is a not-so-nice, but early, mahogany Edison A-250. It has been disassembled and the wood has been stripped. The grill is a crude copy.

The cool thing is that it is essentially complete and that means it has the early "big" motor, the big size horn with woodgraining inside, drawers with their separators and the cool pull handles, original casters, plus other various bits that somebody could use to perfect their own A-250 restoration.

And someone who really likes challenges, and who has a stray Amberola 1 mechanism, could play around with this as a converted cabinet for that.

The mechanism and horn are pretty special and dictate the price, but have a look at the photos and let me know your thoughts. Trades would be fun as well.

This can be delivered to the CAPS show in LA in August and/or handed off to one of our roving phono colleagues for transportation to Union, etc. It is currently located here with me in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Price reduced, and can part this out and ship the smaller bits. Let's not turn the case into firewood though!

Do you have the casters to this A250, and if so are they in good shape?

Seth: Yes, I do, and yes, I think they are.

BUT...

It's how I move the hulk around easily. So if I remove them it will make a hassle, possibly ending with me trashing the cabinet. Which I don't want to do.
