Well it took a couple of years, but I finally purchased a fine Mahogany Berliner, (thanks to the generosity of one of our Forum members).
I always tell my kids, "Careful what you wish for, you might just get it". In this case I was the lucky one.
Cheers, Bob S.

Very nice. Could you post a close up of the sound box? Do you know what the LG stands for?

Not sure what the LG stands for, but this is a French Berliner Gramophone, and I have seen the LG on both French and Gramophone & Typewriter Berliner Sound Boxes.

It may have been a way for Victor to differentiate domestic from import.
My understanding on the French Mahogany Berliner Gramophones is that the mechanisms were made in the U.S., the cabinets were made in Great Britain, and the Machines were sold in France.
