The Talking Machine Forum — For All Antique Phonographs & Recordings

I just returned from a concert sponsored by the Brookfield jazz society. The West End Jazz Band played great music from the 1920's and 30's. It was an outstanding evening made even more memorable, because it was my first exposure to live hot jazz. It was fun hearing music from my growing record collection played live really well. I hope to attend the Bix fest in a few weeks. Long live hot jazz!

An outstanding band that plays the 20s era music to perfection. Some of the best Chicago musicians sit in with them. Enjoy the Bix this year. My wife and I are unable to make it to Davenport (actually in Bettendorf this year) due to a scheduling conflict.
