Here are some picture of the phonographs that were offered at the auction yesterday. There were several dozen uprights and lowboys that were in excellent condition. They brought some pretty good prices. Their condition deserved the higher than normal prices. It was amazing just to see one man's collection fill the showroom. There was a pretty good crowd onsite and quite a few internet, phone in, and absentee bidders. The Donley's and their crew did a great job. I was fortunate to come home with some new additions to the collection--two large record cabinets, Victor rigid arm all brass horn and elbow, a Columbia table top with the "Columbia" decal under the lid upside down, an Exhibition Jr. reproducer, an Edison Concert(needs a lot of work), and another Victor #10 reproducer. Overall, the prices were higher on several items but I believe the condition warranted most of the higher bids. Some normally high price items brought lower bids.

Thanks for posting the Day-1 pictures. I was bidding online all day and ended up with a couple machines. It is always appreciated when members post pictures for those of us who were unable to go to the auction. I'm looking forward to Part-II of this auction on September 10, 2016.

I was surprised to see the two Amberola B-1s sell for less than 600 dollars compared to an Amberola 75 which sold for 750 or a suitcase standard for a 1000 dollars. Maybe someone who saw the machines can provide some insights?

I agree one sold for $475.00, the reproducer was worth that alone.
