Rigid Arm Victor elbow variants

I was going through some rigid arm Victor elbows and noticed three different styles. I am suspecting that the one on the left is earlier because it doesn't have the reinforcing band around the base. The one in the middle has a thin reinforcing band around the base. And, the one on the left has the more common thick reinforcing band on it. Does anyone know if all the rigid arm machines initially came with elbows like the one on the left and they quickly noticed that they needed to be reinforced? These machines were only made for a very short time and it is interesting to see three different styles of elbows. Also, some of them have the "Pat Apld" marking on them and some don't.
