Interesting wood horn on ebay

What do you folks know about this horn? Anything? Is it home made or something that was available at the time? I think it looks pretty cool.

Cheesy cobble job. The "decal" is simply stock water transfer letters. It actually says "COLUMBLA" with the silly addition: "made in USA/English." Plumbing flange on the end?

The horn looks home made to me, and the rest of the machine (not included in the sale) also has it's problems. The soundbox and tonearm do not appear to be by Columbia, and the angled winding shaft suggests that the motor is from a portable.

Somebody took a nice Columbia BN case and made a crap-o-phone out of it. Look at the arm and bracket assembly. For $1200.00, that's what they should pay me to take this off their hands
