This is the discription of the machine as posted on the Live Auction site. Nice machine, what do you think it will sell for?
In Working Condition with numerous records. Mahogany Cabinet, brass adorned, measures 50x21x21. In 1908, Victor introduced a super-deluxe VTLA model, advertised as "Victrola the Twentieth".

Well now, considering someone updated the tone arm and reproducer to Orthophonic status. And there seems to be an issue with the hood latch. I'd be surprised if it tops $400? Or maybe I'm missing something.

It's about 32 units earlier to mine. The arm and bracket can be found (an easy fix). The lid stay...a very common problem due in part to it's ratchet design.
I'm going to say.....$8500.

$8000 to $9000 was my guess also. But then there may be that person how has to have it and will pay a lot more. You just see very many of these come up.

Since you're posting about it here, I guess it's safe to assume you're not interested in it for yourself?

That arm is easy 0 - the bracket is hard. it is different than flat top and most dome top VTLAs. It has to be from an early dome top machine. JD

The lid latch can be made with no problem, it's a saw tooth design... you just need a pattern. I thought mine was missing, but found it in the bottom of the case... they are a less substantial design than the later ones, so broke easily.

If I was interested in it, I would consider the problems to be inconsequential in relation to the machine as a whole.
