I was looking through a bunch of records I had in storage and found some unusual 12 inch Victor sleeves. There are 2 types, both the same except one type says

RCA Manufacturing Company, Inc
RCA VICTOR DIVISION
CAMDEN, N.J., U.S.A.

The other type says:

RCA Victor Company, Inc.,
A RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA SUBSIDIARY
CAMDEN, N.J. U.S.A.

Both types have identical text and graphics except for the name of the company.

Don't know the origin of these sleeves, they were just in a box of records.

Probably not rare, but they are interesting. I've not seen them before. I assume they must be c.1929 or so..??

Assuming the record sleeves followed the same chronology as the record labels, the RCA Victor Company designation was used from the summer of 1930 through the summer of 1935. The RCA Manufacturing Co., Inc. designation followed, and lasted until the fall of 1943, whereupon it was replaced by RCA Victor Division of Radio Corporation of America, which was shortened in 1954 to just Radio Corporation of America.

Mike Sherman's Collectors Guide to Victor Records says that sleeves of your type were used from the mid-to late 30s. He doesn't actually show an example of the RCA Victor Company designated one that you have, so I imagine that sleeve was only used for a little while. Thanks for sharing!
