Edison DD Reproducer rebuilding question

I just purchased an Edison A-100 DD at a garage sale (dirt cheap) because the owner says it sounded terrible which it does. I switched the reproducer with another DD machine I own and it plays flawlessly, no thumping, very smooth, very loud. My question is - who do you recommend to rebuild these reproducers and is it worth rebuilding if it needs a new diamond point installed also? I can't really tell even using my loop..... Thanks.

Steve Medved has been recommended here literally dozens of times for this. Search the board for more info and his contact info.
