In Camden New Jersey for a Jimmy Buffett concert this evening. Here are photographs showing the factory and views from the building at the Victor's Pub outdoor eating area. If New Jersey wasn't so bloody expensive it would be neat to live in the loft condominiums above.

I'll take Macungie.
Or, to quote WC Fields, "I'd rather be living in Philadelphia."

I gather they are rentals. The property looks stunning. I shudder to speculate about what the rent may be.
Here is their video tour.

^ My guess would be depressed compared to other places, considering it's still Camden, NJ. They're condos in that old cabinet factory.
EDIT : Looks like they are advertised as "luxury apartments."

Wow, My son and daughter-in-law took my wife to that concert and I just went through Macungie to Zionsville to pick up a Regina bell box last week----small world. Thanks for the pictures.

One of our forum members used to live in one of these condos, they were very nice and modern. There was all kinds of Victor memorabilia on the entrance and hallway walls, I think even some Talking Machines on display if I remember correctly. The problem is the surrounding area, Camden still has some pretty rough neighborhoods. No good place for an evening stroll. Otherwise the complex is pretty fabulous.

It's nice to see that the building has been preserved, anyway. Images of buildings teared down with explosives in the United States are aired pretty much often here; I believe that it's a show which a lot people seem to like for one reason or another (I think there's even a specialised TV channel about it) but that, contrarywise, turns me very sad.
How was Buffet's gig by the way? I remember that on the airplane that flew me to the States in '95, one of the earphone channels passed his version of "Sunny Afternoon" over and over again...

We had seats in the "lawn" area. Brought lawn chairs and thought we would sit on the "lawn" and take in the show. Well, I never even got to our designated area, as the lawn area was crowded beyond belief, with a lot of drunk folks and a few beach balls tossed about. I hate crowds... My wife wanted to go, not I. I walked up the sidewalk and off in the distance was a man strumming a guitar and singing in a light blue shirt. The huge projection screen confirmed that it was indeed Jimmy Buffett, or at least an old dude who resembled Jimmy Buffett, for all I know. We stayed for a little bit, then left before the end to avoid the mass exodus at the end. They made you discard your (ONE) bottle of water before entering, and a beer was $13.
In short, a rip-off for the "masses". Of course, if you are Hillary Clinton, you personally get invited to Buffett's home in the Hamptons.

Well all right, I think you quite efficiently conveyed the concept that you're not a big fan of Jimmy Buffet, of gigs and of crowds...
