Here are some nice phonographs I came across coming up in auctions this week. Quite a variety...something for everyone! (Great, now I sound like one of the auctioneers!)

I stopped up at the Sunday auction with the Sonora and Edison machine. The Sonora cabinet was in pretty good shape, but the tone arm looked wrong-no markings at all on the reproducer, and odd pot metal tone arm piece. The early Edison C250 had several issues too-the grill had been shattered and poorly repaired. The reproducer was in pieces (but could've been repaired) and the bedplate paint and trim was in poor condition. The wood-grain painted horn was interesting, though. The Edison records with it were in poor condition. I didn't stay to see what they all went for.
