Is there a good free image hosting site?

I usually use Photobucket for posting my pics. But lately, I have used over 90% of the allotted space allowed for a free account. Photobucket wants me to pay for more space, so I deleted several large albums that I don't need anymore. The problem is that my percentage of used space does not go down when I delete albums. Could this be a rigged site that wants to force you to subscribe? Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a better free site for image hosting?

I post my pictures direct from my Windows Photo Gallery.

The TMF's system for uploading photos direct from one's own computer is really excellent and easy to use so that an image hosting site is completely unnecessary. Even the largest files can be accommodated. Try it !
The other advantage of using the "in house" system is that the photos will be there for all time (as long as the TMF exists !) whereas I used to find that separate hosting organisations can often lose or discontinue photos for no good reason.

That. On another (non-phonograph) forum I regularly frequent there are thousands of dead photo links. It's a real shame, when the site offers its own hosting, as does TMF, so those links will last as long as the forum does.
I do use Photobucket to host some photos for forums that don't have image hosting but apparently I do so little of it that I'm under 10% of my allocation. Actually, I have 2 Photobucket accounts under different user names, which I access from different browsers. That's one easy way to double your data allocation.

I must be doing somethnig wrong because everytime I try to upload photos from my computer I get error messages indicating that I am only allowed to upload photos of 500 pixels or less.

I use flickr for my photos, the I don't usually use it often enough to always remember password...

. Though you have to set up a Yahoo account. You get 1 TB free (terabyte) for photos, you can also post a limited amount for videos, I think, I've only put up one.
The few photos I have posted here, I've used the built in one.

I guess I'm living in the past. I know several years ago, you had to use an image hosting website in order to post pics on TMF. I guess they have to be under 500 pixels, so I guess you have to edit them first.

That is indeed strange as all my photos leave my computer at about 5 MB and the system takes perhaps 20/30 seconds to digest each photo. It would seem that the TMF system does not downgrade as there is still an enlargement capability on screen.

When you open the window to write a reply, underneath the button to submit your post is a section headlined "upload attachment" (see the screenshot below). Click on 'browse' to locate the photo in your computer or device, then click the 'add the file' button. If you want to add more photos you can repeat the process. You can add a comment if you want by typing in the white box.
