Now here is an interesting off-brand on my local Craigslist.
(
https://nashville.craigslist.org/atq/5777079006.html )
It's called a Lauzon, Produced in Michigan. The Cabinet looks so nice I kinda want to say they may have produced it themselves. (It looks a little similar to a Cheney cabinet.) You can't tell much from the one small photo, the grill looks like it's missing a layer piece or two.I did find an advertising piece for it.
I'm just an off-brand person that really loves these type and wanted to share it. (I may contact the seller for better photos.)

Thanks, George! It'd take quite awhile to go through each company from Wakeman's article, he really is fantastic and knowledgeable.(Thanks for point out his new project on Sonora.)
From the little segment "Michigan As A Manufacturing Center" it implies that Lauzon, could have made their own cabinets.

Grand Rapids, Michigan (my home town) was a furniture manufacturing center, much like High Point, NC back in the early 1900s. Much of the oak furniture from that era was made there and Saginaw. If it wasn't so far away, I would probably buy this machine, just for its manufacturing provenance...

I'm interested in it, and if i'm able to get more photos I'll differently share them.
(To be honest I've kinda been wanting to add an Edison as my next upright, but I'm just really obsessed with off-brands. My Brunswick is my only main-brand machine.)

Benjamin, I would go for it, especially since it is not priced too high. You can always find an Edison upright...

Pretty fancy cabinet. I wonder if the designs on the front and sides are inlay. It if were near me, I would definitely check it out. I'm a sucker for inlaid cabinets.

Here's a little info on Lauzon.
They called the division of the company that made the machines the "Michigan phonograph corporation." But it was the Lauzon Furniture Company behind them.

That would be a neat off-brand machine to have! Picture was small, but it looks as if its the Japanese Lacquer model from the ad.
Who knows how many of those will ever show up! I say go for it!
