This is my first post but I have been reading this forum for a while. I want to say that the knowledge members of this forum have is just amazing. Now to my question. I just purchased a VE-111 that is, at least for now, working properly. I have spring wind machine and know where to send them if they have issues but I an not certain what to do if my Electrola ever has any issues. I am hoping that members on this forum may be able to give me some advice on where to send it for repair if it becomes necessary. The machine came with an original owners manual that does show me where to lubricate it (advice on a good lubricant to use would be really appreciated as well) and I plan on doing so soon. Hopefully, I will not need to have any work done on this for a long time, but I thought it would not hurt to know who to send it to if the need ever happens.

Welcome! I'd say if your motor is running quietly with no hum or vibration, and the power cord is in good condition, then I'd just keep it lubricated and leave it alone! If your manual includes any information specifically about the electric motor in your machine, that should cover the basics as you mentioned. Robert Baumbach's Book "Look for the Dog" has a reprint of common electric motor repair issues, and if you don't have a copy, it's a great investment. It covers issues with motor hum, erratic speed, and sparking, etc.
