Does anyone manufacturer floral decals that resemble the painted flowers on original hand painted horns? Not EXACTLY like them but similar. Thanks.

If you provide Gregg Cline a really good photo, he can make a decal of just about anything. Jerry Blais

Interestingly, some manufacturers did use flower decals or transfers on their horns: I have a H&S 70-O with just such decoration.
Perhaps Gregg Cline might look into reproducing some of these.

Just run an add in your local paper - I found a woman who did two horns for me, she hand painted and charged me $75.00 per horn! She is a local crafter.

The technique used for painting the horns was called "China Painting". It is difficult to find anyone today who is proficient and skilled at it. It would be interesting to see if decals could be made from photos but there is still the problem with hiding the decal film. I guess it would look okay compared to a beat up rusty old horn.

With the thinness of Gregg's decals, and an extra clear coat on top, the decals are invisible. I think it would be great if Gregg could produce some of these.

There are a lot of original horns out available with painted flowers in good condition going from $350 & up. I'd firstly consider trying to find an original.
Janyne Smith used to sell some original horns stunningly repainted with flowers. She'd buy beat up horns and redo them. That might be another option. I don't have her contact information though.
I would hesitate to take an original horn in good condition and put some decals on it or paint flowers in it. While it may be more appealing in the living room for awhile, in the end you are probably reducing the value of your asset.

I presented my technique for producing decals from photoshopped flower pictures from horns on eBay and elsewhere. You can purchase decal paper for your computer printer.

Thank you all for your input. I don't have any plans to do this at present but it's good to know what options, if any are out there.
