I am parting out an Edison Standard Model B; these parts are from a machine that was missing it's case as well as significant parts of the motor, along with numerous other problems. I debated long and hard with myself as to whether or not to restore, but ended up deciding that it just wasn't worth it. It took me quite a long time for me to wind up deciding this, as I've been indignant to many times with other sellers who part out perfectly good machines. But, in this case, the condition warranted it. Hopefully these parts will help bring some other more restorable machines back to life.
Here are a bunch of parts from the upperworks. I'll post again in a couple days with a bunch of motor parts. All prices are open to reasonable offers.
Feedscrew covers: The top one is in pretty good condition with major pitting, but a good deal of wear down to steel on the left half. The lower one's nickel is in better condition overall, with a nice shine to it, but some spots of pitting. Which everone sells first gets the screw, unless the buyer doesn't need it. Price is $10 for the top one, $15 for the bottom. Endgate: Includes bearing, screws, and the spring washer and screw to fasten it to it's post. Nice paint throughout, with some scattered chipping, and one larger section near the clip and knob. Price is $20. Mandrel: Better than average nickel plating, quite nice. One longitudinal strip has some pockmarks in the nickel. Price is $35. Carriage: Includes feednut and bar, and reproducer thumbscrew. Scattered chipping. Price is $35. Second/Middle Gear: This is the second/middle gear, the one that connects the mandrel to the feedscrew. Really nice. Price is $20. Feedscrew: Nice condition, but needs a cleaning. The grooves are intact, and not pitted, but do have the usual residue of old oil. Gear looks to be nice. Includes the bearings, and screws. Price is $25. Carriage/Guide Rod: Guide rod with screws. Nice shiny nickel, with one major spot (about ¾" long) of pitting. Includes the two screws. Price is $20. Patent Plate: Most of the silvering is intact; includes pins. Price is $20.
