WW2 Spitfire Fund record

This interesting record came my way recently. During WW2 the Department of Aircraft Production under Lord Beaverbrook came up with the idea of letting towns, businesses and individuals have an aircraft named after them if they raised the sum of £5000. This covered the cost of the basic airframe but not the entire aircraft.
The paint manufacturers Pinchin Johnson & Associates Ltd had their own Spitfire Fund, and this is one of several records issued in support of it.
Witley Court was one of England's great country houses, but is now a spectacular ruin after being devastated by fire.
