Anyone see it listed on Ebay---briefly, then removed?

Emerson -

Did it have two horn doors, like a Victrola ?

The only two models of Columbia upright with horn doors that I can think of are the Grafonola Deluxe (1st version, with the lion's heads and curved, sliding doors), and the Non-Pareil ( again, 1st version ).

Frank, I saw it listed, I went and clicked on it and it had listing ended---it was located in New Jersey. It was not the Lion's head like a Reginaphone. I clicked off and then went back to check it out better and see who the seller was, but it did not show again---even when I went to completed listings. The seller mentioned it was a short run machine because of the Victor patent.

This is the second model Deluxe. The first one had the lion heads. After the Victor lawsuits, the louvers came about. Then it evolved into the Columbia Model 200.

You know "The people in the know", would come thru with the Columbia in question with their skills and wealth of information. Seriously, Thanks for sharing this and whoever picked it up has a really nice addition to their collection.

I went to Baumbach & Lackey Columbia Phonograph Companion, Vol 2 last night, and indeed, my memory was very faulty.

Columbia made several floor-model machines with double-doors...

The Symphony Deluxe, the Mignon, the Nonpareil, and the Deluxe (Reginaphone and later variants).

I guess I blanked them out of my mind figuring I would never see these early models.

E-bay listing stated the machine was available locally, so my guess would be that it sold that way ?

Someone got a nice & rare machine for cheap. :clover:
